Mosaic brings people together through the joy of creation, celebration, and art education. Our mission is to be a place for people to learn, play, create, and celebrate. Our vision is to contribute to a positive, thriving, and strong community. The Mosaic arts classroom offers low-cost art classes every week Monday through Wednesday. The building is available for private event rentals Thursday through Sunday. Mosaic values sustainability, operating within a historical, LEED-certified building in uptown Sioux Falls.
The mission of Mosaic is put into motion every day by three, dedicated full-time staff. As a nonprofit, operational work is overseen and governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of professionals across a variety of industries in Sioux Falls.
Executive Director, Deanna Parker, grew up in the Sioux Falls area and has long had a passion for nonprofits. As a history buff, Deanna relishes working in a historical building in downtown Sioux Falls and being close to many things that make Sioux Falls unique.
“I love seeing happy children and adults with their art creations or excited couples searching for the perfect wedding venue. I feel so privileged to work for Mosaic and I look forward to the little joys and challenges every day!”
In her free time, Deanna chases her energetic children, reads, and tries new things as much as possible!
Education Director, Anna graduated from USD in Art Education and quickly developed a passion for creativity and community working at Mosaic. “I am so lucky to do what I love and build so many relationships with children and their families, working with adults in day services from all different abilities and their fun-loving personalities.” When Anna is not coming up with creative and easy-for-everyone art projects or being a visiting art teacher at retirement communities, elementary schools and homeschool co-ops, she loves to spend her time with her family and having an afternoon in with her girlfriends.
Events and Marketing Manager, Claire Litzen was born and raised in Sioux Falls and has worked closely in the event industry for the last four years. She’s a hopeless romantic and rom-com lover with an eye for detail and is our go-to gal for all things events. “Working at Mosaic keeps me close to the service industry which I have years of experience in, while introducing me to a whole new spectrum of marketing, events, and education. I love to see non-profits hit their donation goals, and I love watching families come together for celebrations! Marketing gives me an excuse to get my hands messy and create projects with the kids, I love it!” In her free time, you can find her hitting up local restaurants and coffee shops with her dog, Fish.
